I went to Japan early this year and the plan was to travel to Japan with my brother. I am an introvert so traveling alone is not my thing (and after this trip, I realized it NEVER will).

But since we have Philippine passports, going to Japan is not a straightforward thing. We had to apply for a visa which is a very tedious and time consuming task. Unfortunately for my brother, the process became worse this year but fortunately for me, I live in Germany and it took me one week from application to finally getting a visa. ONE WEEK.
Anyway, here’s my Osaka and Tokyo one week itinerary.
My Itinerary
Day 1 – Landed in Osaka, flight was late so I missed my bus. I had to pay again because my ticket was already prepaid.
Checked in my hotel (Holiday Inn Osaka Namba)
Got food delivered
Went around the area and got stuff from Donki (which was just behind my hotel, yay!)
Day 2 – Explored Dotonbori and the nearby areas
Went shopping
Looked at 2nd hand shops (the prices here are generally better than in Tokyo)
Went to an Izakaya
Convenience store hopping lol
Day 3 – Katsuoji Temple
Shopping again
Osaka Castle
Day 4 – Osaka to Tokyo via Shinkansen
Saw Mt. Fuji from the train!
Checked in Richmonde Hotel Premier Asakusa
Explored the area
Went shopping
Shibuya (Hachiko Statue and Shibuya Crossing)
Day 5 – Booked a Mt. Fuji day trip via Klook (highly recommended!)
Trip included: Hotel pick up and drop off
Arakurayama Sengen Park
Oshino Springs
Gotemba Outlet (I blacked out and exceeded my budget)
Explored Asakusa at night
Day 6 – Got up early to take photos at Sensoji Temple
Tokyo Sky Tree is visible from where I stayed so I took photos of it every day haha
Wandered around Shibuya and Shinjuku
Hie Shrine
Meiji Temple
Day 7 – Booked a private transfer to the airport via Klook since my flight was early
Overall, I LOVED my trip to Japan. Of course it would’ve been better if I wasn’t alone. Maybe next time.
